What is an Addiction Rehab Alumni Program?

We are extremely proud of our clients who successfully complete our substance abuse program. They have every reason to celebrate. However, the road to full recovery doesn’t end with their discharge, and nor does our treatment. Aftercare is an extremely important part of sustained recovery.

When a person leaves rehab to transition back into their daily life, a continued connection with an alumni program can significantly help them maintain their sobriety. This is a vital part of our program, where we offer clients the necessary support to thrive in early recovery and beyond.

This is done by maintaining connection and activity with a recovery community at our facility. Clients can participate in our rehab alumni program free of charge. They will gain access to a network of former graduates and other like-minded individuals who empower each other to stay on the path toward a healthy recovery.

Our goal here at Foundations Wellness Center is to be with clients through every step of the journey. We organize weekly alumni meetings as well as exciting events that prove that fun is possible in recovery. We also offer aid and useful information through our alumni-only private Facebook group, as well as real-time support through our 24-hour help line.

Alumni staff are in charge of planning sober events for members. As a key part of our aftercare program, they also keep in touch with our clients via email, text, or phone to check that clients are on the right track and offer guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Entering into the world of drug or alcohol rehab can be overwhelming. Take a deep breath, and welcome many new truths

If you’re considering addiction treatment or know someone who needs help, review our most frequently asked questions to find the answers that inform and provide essential peace of mind.

Do you support AA, NA, and similar 12-step programs?

Yes, our program is 12-step friendly; through incorporation and exposure to the philosophies of 12-step programs, our clients have access to Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Celebrate Recovery community meetings.

Do you treat dual diagnosis?

Yes, through psychiatric evaluation and assessment you will be treated by highly qualified addiction clinicians and with a collegial, team approach.

Do you treat trauma?

Does your program treat meth addiction?

Yes, we treat meth addiction as well as any and all substances that can be abused or cause dependency.

How do I choose the right rehab facility?

Yes, through psychiatric evaluation and assessment you will be treated by highly qualified addiction clinicians and with a collegial, team approach.

How long does treatment last?

Our continuum of care traditionally runs from 30 to 120 days or up to six months, depending on the needs of the client. Our alumni program offers ongoing client support.

Is your program accredited?

Yes, we are licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and are accredited by and exceed the standards set forth by the Joint Commission Accredited Health Commission (JACHO), which is the gold standard of treatment. We are also associated with the Better Business Bureau as well as Police Community Partners.

What does it cost?

Treatment costs vary based on the needs of the individual. We also take private insurance, which typically covers all or a part of the cost. Call to speak with one of our admissions counselors, available 24 hours, who can go over options with you.

What happens after I complete treatment?

We have a transitional step-down process that allows clients to gradually step back into the world. Clients are also supported through integral phases of early recovery milestones, with alumni check-in support and access to therapists, long after their stays here.

What is treatment like (what should I expect)?

The first three to five days are the roughest – you are adjusting to life after detox – but, soon after, as you settle into the program, you will experience group therapy, individual therapy, and medication management. You are learning how to balance work and life again, so you will have fun as you educate yourself and come to understand yourself better. We incorporate not just traditional methods, but you will also participate in experiential-based activities such as kayaking, biking, hiking, beach trips, snorkeling, et al.

What should I bring (and not bring)?

We want you to be comfortable at Foundations Wellness Center. Our admissions team will orient you to our facility and let you know which items you should bring upon admission.

I had very recently gotten a divorce and had untreated mental health issues. I began using meth to self-medicate because I felt so down…
